The draw for the 2026 HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club has been released, and while Alex de Minaur enters as the top seed, the path to the title looks anything but straightforward.
According to the latest Crush & Rush News Grass Court Power Rankings, Jiri Lehecka enters the week as the highest-rated grass-court player in the field, while de Minaur, Cameron Norrie, Ugo Humbert, Gabriel Diallo, and Brandon Nakashima headline a deep group of dangerous contenders.
That depth is what makes this year’s tournament so intriguing.
Unlike many ATP 500 events, Queen’s Club features no clear-cut favorite. Instead, several proven grass-court performers, rising stars, and dangerous floaters are spread throughout the draw, creating multiple paths to the title and plenty of opportunities for early surprises.
Here is a quarter-by-quarter breakdown of the 2026 HSBC Championships Queen’s Club draw and the ATP Tour players best positioned to make a run.

De Minaur Draws a Dangerous Opening Section
Top seed Alex de Minaur enters Queen’s Club as one of the tournament favorites, but his opening quarter is loaded with dangerous opponents.
Gabriel Diallo arrives fresh off a grass-court title, while Brandon Nakashima continues to produce strong results on the surface. Denis Shapovalov and Marton Fucsovics add further depth to a section that offers few easy matches.
De Minaur remains the favorite to emerge from the quarter, but he may have received one of the toughest early draws in the tournament, especially coming off this past Sunday’s Libema Open final.
Mensik Receives a Favorable Path
Third seed Jakub Mensik landed in a section that appears more manageable than the others.
The Czech sits No. 30 in our Grass Court Power Rankings and will need to navigate veterans Adrian Mannarino and Jenson Brooksby, along with Francisco Cerundolo.
While none of those opponents can be overlooked, this quarter lacks the proven grass-court depth found elsewhere in the draw.
Among the seeded players, Mensik may have received the clearest path to the semifinals.
Norrie Headlines an Open Quarter
The third quarter features several players capable of making a run.
Cameron Norrie enters as the highest-rated grass-court player in the section at No. 13 in our rankings, while former champion Tommy Paul sits at No. 44 despite his previous success at Queen’s Club.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Corentin Moutet add further uncertainty to what may be the most balanced quarter in the draw.
No result in this section would be a major surprise.
Lehecka Faces the Toughest Test
Second seed Jiri Lehecka enters Queen’s Club ranked No. 9 in Phil’s Grass Court Power Rankings, but he may have received the most difficult draw among the title contenders.
Ugo Humbert (No. 22), Marin Cilic, Arthur Rinderknech (No. 45), and Kamil Majchrzak all possess games that can be highly effective on grass. Humbert, in particular, remains one of the most dangerous floaters in the tournament.
Lehecka has the firepower to win the title, but his quarter appears deeper than any other section of the draw.
