The 2026 Winston-Salem Open entry list has been released, and one storyline immediately stands out: just two Americans earned direct acceptance into the main draw.
Ethan Quinn and Jenson Brooksby are the lone U.S. players on the tournament’s initial entry list, an unusual sight for the final ATP Tour stop before the US Open.
While additional Americans are expected to receive wild cards or advance through qualifying, the direct acceptance list is dominated by international talent.
The ATP 250 event, scheduled for August 22-29 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, serves as the last opportunity for players to fine-tune their hard-court games before the year’s final Grand Slam.
Read on for the 2026 Winston-Salem entry list, beginning August 23, 2026.

Quinn, Brooksby Only Two Americans Earn Direct Entry
An American ATP tournament with only two Americans in the initial entry list is a rarity.
Quinn and Brooksby are the only U.S. players to receive direct acceptance into the 2026 Winston-Salem Open, highlighting both the strength of the international field and the increasingly competitive battle for ATP rankings.
With Winston-Salem positioned immediately before the US Open, several American players are expected to join the draw through wild cards, but the tournament’s initial field belongs overwhelmingly to an international cast.
Former Champions in the Field
Two former Winston-Salem champions return looking to lift the trophy once again.

- ๐ซ๐ท Adrian Mannarino (2022)
Recent champions Marton Fucsovics (2025) and Lorenzo Sonego (2024) are not part of the initial entry list.
