Three Stockholm Open Entry List Storylines
Taylor Fritz returns to Stockholm with title ambitions
Fritz returns to Stockholm for the first time since 2021, bringing the powerful serve and aggressive baseline game that have made him one of the ATP Tour’s leading hard-court players.
Fritz has lost four of his five matches since his third-round US Open defeat to Francisco Cerundolo, has fallen from the Top 10, and a big run in Sweden could set him up for 2027 success.
Casper Ruud seeks another Stockholm title
Ruud returns to the Royal Tennis Hall as defending champion after winning the 2025 edition.
The Norwegian has fallen from the Top 20 and is 5-1 since his Cincinnati Open injury cost him an appearance at the US Open.
Belgian contenders bring intrigue to Stockholm
Belgium has two players directly entered in the main draw, with Alexander Blockx and Zizou Bergs both positioned to make an impact.
Bergs defeated Carlos Alcaraz in Shanghai, while Blockx has dropped three straight matches since his stellar US Open quarterfinal run.
