Hong Kong Tennis Open Entry List Storylines to Watch

Jasmine Paolini Looks to Finish Strong

Jasmine Paolini arrives in Hong Kong looking to close her season on a positive note. The two-time Grand Slam finalist is currently No. 35 in the WTA live rankings and a good run in Hong Kong might be what the doctor ordered.

Alexandra Eala Carries Asian Interest

Alexandra Eala has established herself as one of the WTA’s leading young players, but she is currently on a three-match losing streak. She likely won’t reach the WTA finals at Indian Wells, but she’d love to end her season with her third WTA title of 2026.

Former Champions Return for Another Shot

Leylah Fernandez and Diana Shnaider know what it takes to win in Hong Kong. Fernandez captured the 2023 title, while Shnaider followed in 2024. Fernandez also reached the semifinals in each of the following two editions. Both enter the tournament with proven success.
