Three Storylines to Watch from the 2026 Paris Masters Entry List

Sinner’s Withdrawal Leaves Paris Title Up for Grabs

Defending champion Jannik Sinner won’t return after ending his season with a knee injury. Alexander Zverev, the 2024 champion and current Race to Turin leader with 9,150 points, can reclaim the title. Carlos Alcaraz and seven-time Paris champion Novak Djokovic stand among his biggest challengers.

The Race to Turin Comes Down to Paris

Daniil Medvedev (3,660 points) holds a narrow 20-point advantage over Flavio Cobolli (3,640) in the ATP Race to Turin. Arthur Fils (3,425) and Frances Tiafoe (3,380) remain firmly in contention. With 1,000 ranking points available to the Paris champion, the final Masters 1000 could dramatically reshape the ATP Finals qualifying picture.

French Players Look to End Paris Title Drought

Arthur Fils leads the French contingent following his Cincinnati Masters title, while Ugo Humbert returns after reaching the 2024 Paris final. Arthur Rinderknech also has direct entry, with Luca Van Assche and Quentin Halys in qualifying. No Frenchman has won the tournament since Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2008.
