The draw is out at Indian Wells 2026, and Novak Djokovic did not land in a rhythm section.
His quarter is packed with big servers and first-strike players.
Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have dominated the slams during the past two seasons, and both have interesting draws heading into the ATP Tour’s first Masters 1000 event.
Let’s break down the Indian Wells 2026 Men’s bracket, beginning Wednesday, March 4.

Djokovic Quarter
Djokovic could open against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. That is immediate serve pressure. One loose return game and you are staring at a tiebreak. Hubert Hurkacz is also in the section, bringing another massive serve and clean backhand.
Aleksandar Kovacevic and Corentin Moutet can make early rounds awkward. Nothing about this path feels smooth.
If Djokovic reaches the Round of 16, big-serving Jack Draper or Francisco Cerundolo likely wait. Draper brings power and pace if healthy. Cerundolo can grind and extend rallies.
The bottom half is just as strong. Daniil Medvedev, Jiri Lehecka, Ugo Humbert, and Taylor Fritz are all there. Fritz looks well-positioned, but Medvedev’s history in the desert cannot be ignored if travel issues do not disrupt him.
Quarterfinal Projection: Jack Draper vs Taylor Fritz
Alcaraz Quarter
Carlos Alcaraz landed in a more structured section. Arthur Rinderknech and Botic van de Zandschulp can test him early, but neither should control a three-set match. Casper Ruud is the likely Round of 16 opponent.
The bottom half is tougher. Alex de Minaur could see Delray champ Sebastian Korda and former Indian Wells champion Cameron Norrie. Alexander Bublik has the serve to make this quarterfinal interesting if he advances.
Quarterfinal Projection: Carlos Alcaraz vs Alexander Bublik

Zverev Quarter
This might be the most volatile part of the draw.
Lorenzo Musetti has not played much, and Marton Fucsovics and Arthur Fils are capable of capitalizing. Andrey Rublev has a bye and should settle in.
Felix Auger-Aliassime is in a good position if his serve holds.
Flavio Cobolli is playing with confidence but may have to deal with Miomir Kecmanovic’s pace early. Frances Tiafoe arrives confident.
Alexander Zverev anchors the bottom and should advance against anyone in his Round of 16.
Quarterfinal Projection: Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Alexander Zverev
Sinner Quarter
Jannik Sinner’s path is layered.
He could see Stefanos Tsitsipas, Denis Shapovalov, or Rio champ Tomas Martin Etcheverry before the fourth round. Karen Khachanov, Joao Fonseca, and Raphael Collignon add depth above.
Tommy Paul is a strong candidate to meet Sinner in the Round of 16.
Ben Shelton’s section is serve-heavy, possibly opening against Reilly Opelka. Jakub Mensik looks like the most likely fourth-round opponent.
Quarterfinal Projection: Jannik Sinner vs Ben Shelton
