2026 Buenos Aires Entry List: Linette Leads, Five Argentines Chase Home WTA 125 Title

The 2026 Buenos Aires entry list features World No. 68 Magda Linette, Argentine favorite Solana Sierra, and former French Open semifinalist Nadia Podoroska.

Five Argentines are among the 21 main-draw direct acceptances for the November 23–29 clay-court tournament at the Tenis Club Argentino. Last year’s finalist, Varvara Lepchenko, is also returning.

The tournament follows the 2026 Colina WTA 125 as the South American clay-court swing continues.

The 2026 Buenos Aires Entry List Storylines

Magda Linette Has the Pedigree, but Consistency Remains a Problem

A former French Open doubles semifinalist and Australian Open singles semifinalist, Linette has proven she can compete on the biggest stages. She reached the third round at Roland Garros this season, beating Jelena Ostapenko along the way. Her problem is consistency. The Pole is 24-24 in 2026, mixing impressive wins with disappointing losses. She has the game to win Buenos Aires, but can she put it together for an entire week?

Five Argentines Chase a Long-Awaited Home Title

Solana Sierra leads the hometown contingent alongside Riera, Podoroska, Ortenzi and Giovannini. Podoroska knows how to win on clay, having reached the 2020 French Open semifinals. No Argentine has won this tournament since its 2021 return. With five direct acceptances, the locals have opportunities to change that.

Varvara Lepchenko Returns With Unfinished Business

Varvara Lepchenko reached last year’s final before falling to Panna Udvardy 6-3, 7-5. The defending champion isn’t on the current acceptance list, leaving the door open for a new winner. Lepchenko has enough experience to make another run, but younger players like Laura Samson could be a problem.
