Montevideo Challenger Entry List Storylines

Top 100 Players Have Something to Play For

Camilo Ugo Carabelli (No. 75), Román Andrés Burruchaga (No. 77), and Henrique Rocha (No. 100) headline the field. Ugo Carabelli defended his Rosario Challenger title in February. With Australian Open direct-entry positions coming into focus, particularly for players around No. 100, November ranking points could be especially valuable.

Rocha was also on our 2026 Maia Open entry list, as part of his late-season push for valuable ranking points.

Boyer and Dellien Have Unfinished Business

Tristan Boyer defeated Hugo Dellien 6-2, 6-4 in the 2024 Montevideo final. Dellien previously won the tournament in 2021 and reached the final in 2014. Boyer also eliminated Ugo Carabelli in the 2024 semifinals. All three return, and their familiarity with these courts could trouble the rest of the field.

Brazilian Rivals Meet Again on Clay

João Lucas Reis da Silva defeated Thiago Seyboth Wild in the October 11 Antofagasta Challenger final. Both are entered here, alongside Gustavo Heide and Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida. Four Brazilians with plenty of clay-court experience could make things uncomfortable for the Argentine favorites.

We covered several of these players in our 2026 Costa do Sauípe Challenger entry list, where the Brazilian contingent received a boost following several withdrawals.
