Darwin Blanch Returns With Serious Momentum
Darwin Blanch returns to Knoxville after reaching two Challenger finals since mid-September. The 2025 Knoxville finalist captured the Tiburon title, defeating Michael Zheng in two tiebreaks before beating Michael Mmoh in three sets.
Blanch followed that performance with a runner-up finish in Fort Worth, losing to Jenson Brooksby. With Zheng and Mmoh also entered, Knoxville offers some intriguing potential rematches.
Michael Mmoh Looks for a Third Knoxville Title
Two-time Knoxville champion Michael Mmoh returns after reaching the Tiburon Challenger final in September, where he defeated J.J. Wolf before falling to Darwin Blanch.
The American followed with an Olbia quarterfinal appearance in October but retired during Lyon qualifying the following week. His fitness will be worth monitoring as he pursues another Knoxville championship.
Michael Zheng Looks to Build on Breakthrough Season
Michael Zheng qualified for three Grand Slams in 2026 and reached the third round at Wimbledon and the US Open.
Since losing to Darwin Blanch in the Tiburon semifinals, Zheng has suffered early exits in Hangzhou and Shanghai, including a qualifying loss to fellow Knoxville entrant Nicolás Mejía. Ranked No. 101. Zheng needs points to strengthen his chances of direct entry to the Australian Open.
