Three Storylines to Watch

Hugo Gaston brings momentum to Brest

Hugo Gaston enters the 2026 Brest Challenger ranked No. 89, fresh off a quarterfinal appearance in Hangzhou, where he pushed Andrey Rublev to three sets.

The Frenchman has won four of his previous six completed matches entering October 15, including two victories at this week’s Roanne Challenger, and could be a serious contender on home soil.

Dino Prižmić looks to build on breakthrough season

Dino Prižmić enters Brest ranked No. 97 after reaching the fourth round of the Rome Masters and defeating Novak Djokovic and Ugo Humbert along the way.

The 21-year-old Croatian also reached the Madrid third round and Monza Challenger final in 2026, establishing himself as one of the more dangerous players in this field.

Gabriel Diallo needs a strong finish

Gabriel Diallo enters the Brest Challenger ranked No. 121, a considerable fall from his career-high No. 33 ranking achieved in August 2025.

The Canadian has managed just a 9-18 ATP main-draw record in 2026, making Brest an important opportunity to rebuild confidence and collect ranking points before the season ends.
