EDITORS UPDATE 9:25-2026: Hugo Dellien and Nick Hardt are out. Alvaro Guillen Meza and Juan Manuel La Serna move into the field.
The Curitiba Challenger entry list is loaded with experienced South American clay-court players, giving the CH 75 event one of the deeper regional fields on the upcoming Challenger calendar.
Argentina’s Francisco Comesaña leads the main draw at No. 119, while Brazilian Gustavo Heide checks in at No. 128. Veteran Bolivian Hugo Dellien and Chile’s Tomás Barrios Vera also sit near the top of a field built almost entirely for the dirt.
Read on for the Curitiba Challenger entry list, beginning Sept. 28.
Comesaña Leads the Curitiba Field
Comesaña arrives as the highest-ranked player currently entered and immediately becomes one of the names to watch.
The Argentine has the physicality and patience required for long clay-court exchanges, but there will be very little room for an easy week in Curitiba.
Heide gives the home crowd a legitimate Brazilian contender, while Dellien remains one of the most accomplished clay-court specialists at Challenger level.
Barrios Vera adds another experienced option near the top of the field, while promising Bolivian Juan Carlos Prado Angelo continues his climb.
Brazilian Players Well Represented
Brazil has plenty of representation in Curitiba.
Along with Heide, the main draw currently includes Felipe Meligeni Alves, Thiago Seyboth Wild, Matheus Pucinelli De Almeida, and João Lucas Reis Da Silva.
Seyboth Wild is particularly interesting at No. 198. His ranking may place him deeper in the field, but his peak level on clay makes him a dangerous draw for virtually anyone at this level.
Meligeni Alves enters using a protected ranking.
Plenty of Proven Clay-Court Depth
The depth extends well beyond the highest-ranked names.
Peru’s Gonzalo Bueno continues to establish himself as a dangerous Challenger-level clay player, while former ATP Top 50 player Federico Coria enters with a protected ranking.
Argentina also sends Lautaro Midon, Genaro Olivieri, Guido Justo, Alex Barrena, and Juan Bautista Torres.
Former ATP Top 30 player Juan Pablo Varillas adds even more experience to the field, while Chilean Matías Soto, Uruguay’s Franco Roncadelli, and Dominican Nick Hardt round out a deep group of players comfortable on clay.
Colombian prospect Miguel Tobon enters through the Next Gen pathway.

Early Curitiba Challenger Outlook
Curitiba has all the ingredients for a rugged clay-court week.
Comesaña deserves attention at the top, but Heide, Dellien, Barrios Vera, Coria, Seyboth Wild, Varillas, Bueno, and Meligeni Alves make this far from a one-player field.
The Brazilian contingent should receive plenty of support, while the sheer number of established South American clay specialists makes the draw especially intriguing once first-round matchups are released.
