2026 Buenos Aires Challenger Entry List: Díaz Acosta Headlines Clay-Court Field

Facundo Díaz Acosta leads the 2026 Buenos Aires Challenger entry list, with another deep South American field set for the ATP Challenger 75 clay-court event.

The Argentine enters as the highest-ranked player in the main draw at No. 82 and will be joined by countrymen Francisco Comesaña, Genaro Olivieri, Alex Barrena, Juan Bautista Torres, Facundo Mena, Nicolás Kicker, Hernán Casanova and Renzo Olivo.

Bolivia’s Hugo Dellien gives the tournament another established clay-court threat, while Pedro Martínez brings considerable ATP-level experience into the field.

Juan Pablo Varillas, Gonzalo Bueno and Juan Carlos Prado Angelo strengthen an already deep group of South American players.

Facundo Díaz Acosta is the biggest name in the Buenos Aires 2 field and gives the home crowd a legitimate title contender.

The Argentine has built much of his career around clay-court tennis, and a Challenger event at home represents the kind of setting where his experience and comfort on the surface should make him one of the players to beat.

Pedro Martínez Adds ATP Experience

Pedro Martínez stands out as one of the most accomplished players in the field despite entering ranked No. 148.

The Spaniard has spent significant time competing at ATP level and owns the patience, movement and point construction required to succeed on slow clay. His presence gives Buenos Aires another player capable of making a deep run.

Argentina Controls the Field

Buenos Aires 2 is overwhelmingly an Argentine affair.

Twelve of the 21 direct entries come from Argentina, including Díaz Acosta, Comesaña, Olivieri, Barrena and Torres.

Add experienced veterans such as Nicolás Kicker, Facundo Mena, Hernán Casanova, and Renzo Olivo, and there should be Argentine players scattered throughout virtually every section of the draw.
