Jones Leads a Strong Field
Francesca Jones currently sits at No. 104 in the world and is the highest-ranked player on the entry list. The Brit gives the field a quality No. 1 name and should be one of the players to beat when the tournament begins.
Bronzetti Brings Tour-Level Experience
Lucia Bronzetti is right behind Jones at No. 116. The Italian has spent significant time competing at the WTA Tour level and has plenty of clay-court experience, making her one of the biggest threats in Antalya.
Kawa Adds More Firepower
Katarzyna Kawa rounds out the top three at No. 133. The Polish veteran has also proven capable of making deep runs on the clay-court Challenger circuit, giving Antalya three players ranked inside the world’s top 135.
Plenty of Experience Behind the Top Three
The field gets deeper quickly. Arantxa Rus and Polona Hercog are both former Top 50 players with extensive WTA and clay-court experience, while Maria Lourdes Carle has also established herself as a dangerous competitor on the surface.
A Strong Group of Young Players
The entry list also features several younger players looking to make their mark, including Elizara Yaneva, Elena Pridankina, Alevtina Ibragimova, Mia Ristić, Julie Štruplová and Ane Mintegi Del Olmo.
With 24 players already listed and eight additional spots available in the 32-player singles draw, the ATIK Antalya Open has the makings of a highly competitive WTA 125.
