Bianca Andreescu, the 2019 US Open champion, continues her return to form after years of injury setbacks.
Sloane Stephens, a former US Open champion and past Charleston Open winner, adds experience and strong clay-court credentials to the field.
Paula Badosa, a former world No. 2, has been working her way back up the rankings following injuries, while Jennifer Brady, a former Australian Open finalist, continues her comeback after an extended absence from the tour.
The addition of these four players strengthens an already highly competitive Charleston Open field as the tour transitions from hard courts to clay.
