As a result, Emilio Nava and Adam Walton move directly into the main draw.
Neither withdrawal significantly alters the championship picture, but it does create opportunity in the early rounds.
Nava, an American comfortable on hard courts, gets another chance in a major Masters 1000 setting, while Walton earns a valuable main-draw spot in one of the season’s biggest events.
