Swiatek Still Favorite, but Sabalenka Closes French Open Gap
Despite not winning a WTA Tour-level event since she won here last, Iga Swiatek is the betting favorite to win her fourth consecutive and fifth Roland Garros title.
Aryna Sabalenka has been to four consecutive finals (Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart and Madrid). She’s never reached a final at Roland Garros, but is the most dominant player on tour.
Mirra Andreeva took Sabalenka to the woodshed on her way to her first Roland Garros semifinal (2024) and is 10-2 on the crushed, red brick surface.
Coco Gauff reached the Madrid final, but the 2022 Roland Garros runner-up has struggled with consistency since defeating Swiatek in the United Cup Final.
2024 Roland Garros runner-up Jasmine Paolini has struggled with form due to injury and is 44-43 lifetime on the dirt.
