Bratislava Challenger Entry List Storylines

Alex Molčan’s Homecoming Comes With a Paris Question

Alex Molčan has climbed more than 100 ranking places this season and enters Bratislava as the highest-ranked player on the acceptance list. The Slovak needed a wild card to compete at last year’s tournament but returns ranked No. 84.

However, his participation still depends on the Paris Masters entry list. Molčan said on October 16 that he would prioritize Paris if he secured a place in the draw.

Gabriel Diallo Returns to the Site of His 2023 Title

Gabriel Diallo returns to Bratislava three years after winning the 2023 Slovak Open. The Canadian, ranked No. 121 on the acceptance list, has an opportunity to claim a second title at a tournament where he has already enjoyed Challenger success.

Diallo joins a field that also includes former Top 100 players looking to finish the season with a strong indoor result.

Jacob Fearnley Brings Fresh Hard-Court Form

Jacob Fearnley arrives on the acceptance list following a run to the Olbia Challenger final on October 18. The British player defeated Luca Nardi in the semifinals before falling to Damir Džumhur 7-6(4), 6-3 in the championship match.

Fearnley, a five-time Challenger champion, will look to carry that form into Bratislava alongside fellow Britons Jan Choinski and Toby Samuel.
