Storylines From the 2026 Curitiba Open Entry List

Julia Grabher Brings Winning Clay-Court Form

Julia Grabher enters Curitiba ranked No. 97 following a productive stretch on clay. The Austrian captured the WTA 125 title in Tolentino in September, defeating Guiomar Maristany Zuleta de Reales 7-6(5), 6-2 in the final.

Grabher also reached the quarterfinals in Mallorca last week and will look for another deep run as she tries to strengthen her position inside the Top 100.

Solana Sierra Looks to Make Another Run on Clay

Solana Sierra enters Curitiba ranked No. 101 and has already demonstrated she can win at this level. The Argentine captured two WTA 125 titles in 2025, winning on clay in Antalya and Mallorca.

Sierra also reached the fourth round of Wimbledon last year as a lucky loser. Her return to South American clay courts offers a chance to regain momentum and climb back into the Top 100.

Laura Samson Arrives After Another WTA 125 Final

Laura Samson enters Curitiba ranked No. 128 and continues to establish herself as a promising young player on the WTA 125 circuit.

The 18-year-old Czech won the clay-court title in Târgu Mureș earlier this season and reached the Mallorca final on October 18.
