Storylines From the Tiburon Challenger Entry List
Martin Damm Tops the Field
Martin Damm enters as the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 92.
That makes him the top player to beat in a draw packed with Americans trying to make a late-season push up the ATP rankings.
Michael Zheng and Eliot Spizzirri Keep Climbing
Michael Zheng and Eliot Spizzirri have both pushed themselves into the Top 115 and will arrive in Tiburon as two of the most dangerous players in the field.
Both have become increasingly difficult outs at the Challenger level, and this CH 125 gives them another valuable opportunity to bank ranking points.
Nishesh Basavareddy and Darwin Blanch Headline the Young Americans
Nishesh Basavareddy and Darwin Blanch add another layer of young American talent to the field.
Basavareddy is already up to No. 163, while Blanch remains one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in American tennis.
Michael Mmoh and Stefan Kozlov Bring Experience
Michael Mmoh and Stefan Kozlov have both spent plenty of time on the ATP Tour and bring different levels of experience to an otherwise young field.
Mmoh is ranked No. 173, while Kozlov will be looking to make another Challenger run from outside the Top 250.
J.J. Wolf Lands in Qualifying
One of the biggest names on the entry list is currently in qualifying.
Former World No. 39 J.J. Wolf is ranked No. 248 and will need to work his way through the qualifying draw unless his status changes before the tournament begins.
Karue Sell, Trevor Svajda, Ozan Baris, Aidan Mayo, and Kaylan Bigun are also part of a qualifying field with plenty of upside.
