Three Storylines to Watch in Rennes
Adrian Mannarino Gives Rennes a Proven Headliner
Adrian Mannarino immediately becomes the biggest name in the Rennes field.
The French veteran brings considerably more top-level experience than most of the Challenger field and enters as the only player currently ranked inside the Top 100. On an indoor hard court, his flat ball striking and ability to redirect pace should make him one of the players to beat.
Benjamin Bonzi Leads a Deep French Group
Mannarino may own the highest ranking, but Rennes has no shortage of French players capable of making a run.
Benjamin Bonzi and Titouan Droguet both sit just outside the Top 100, while Clément Tabur, Clément Chidekh, Ugo Blanchet, Hugo Grenier, and Harold Mayot strengthen a home contingent that could dominate the latter stages of the tournament.
Plenty of Dangerous International Challengers
The field is far from exclusively French.
Patrick Kypson has continued to establish himself on the Challenger circuit, while Billy Harris, Borna Gojo, Francesco Maestrelli, and Tristan Schoolkate all bring the kind of games that can play well on a quick hard court.
That should give Rennes considerably more depth than Mannarino’s No. 67 ranking on the entry list might initially suggest.
The 2026 Rennes Challenger entry list remains subject to change before the tournament begins, with withdrawals, alternates, wild cards, and qualifying additions still capable of reshaping the final field.
