WNBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Advice June 9, 2025

WNBA Fantasy Basketball guards are dropping like flies.
Chicago Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot is the most recent addition to a long list of guards missing considerable action through the first three weeks of the WNBA Fantasy basketball season.
High production guards Caitlin Clark, Kahleah Copper, Paige Bueckers, and Tiffany Hayes join Vandersloot on the shelf, but no worries because help is on the way.
Join Fantasy Phil as he finds WNBA Fantasy waiver wire gold with his four favorite waiver wire additions for Week 4 beginning Monday, June 9.
Odyssey Sims, Los Angeles Sparks, Guard
Replacing Vandersloot won’t be easy, but LA Sparks guard Odyssey Sims has been stuffing the stat sheet with 22 WNBA Fantasy ppg on 31+ minutes nightly for the Tinseltown gals.
Week 4 Outlook: Golden State (Monday), at Las Vegas (Wednesday), at Minnesota (Saturday).
Fantasy Phil’s Spin: Sims should see 90+ minutes of action this week and is probably the best permanent replacement for Vandersloot.
Hailey Van Lith (Chicago Sky, Guard)
Hailey Van Lith played the most minutes of her career (26) after Vandersloot got hurt and scored seven points, along with a couple of rebounds. She’s an aggressive scorer and playmaker, and maybe she can be the spark for an awful Chicago Sky squad.
Week 4 Outlook: at New York (Tuesday), at Atlanta (Friday), and at Connecticut (Sunday).
Fantasy Phil’s Spin: Van Lith will get an opportunity on a bad team with three games this week to prove she can play in the WNBA.
Erica Wheeler (Seattle Storm, Guard)
Erica Wheeler has been a valuable addition to the Seattle Storm. She’s stuffing the stat sheets in or out of the starting five, averaging almost 20 WNBA Fantasy ppg on nearly 22 minutes per night for a very good Storm group.
Week 4 Outlook: Minnesota (Wednesday), at Golden State (Saturday).
Fantasy Phil’s Spin: Wheeler is a major contributor to a championship-caliber ball club and a solid addition to any WNBA Fantasy roster.
Sania Rivers Guard, Connecticut Sun
Sania Rivers has cracked the Connecticut Sun starting lineup. Rivers has scored 24+ WNBA Fantasy points four times this season, averaging nearly 29 minutes per game.
Week 4 Outlook: Chicago (Sunday).
Fantasy Phil’s Spin: She’ll make a terrific streaming option Sunday against a horrible Chicago defense.
Janelle Salaün, Forward, Golden State Valkyries
Janelle Salun has seen a dip in her scoring numbers, but she’s still getting her shots while averaging more than 20 minutes a night. Her shot will fall again, and when it does, she’ll rack up between 15 and 25 WNBA Fantasy points per game.
Week 4 Outlook: at LA (Monday), Seattle (Saturday).
Fantasy Phil’s Spin: Saluan would be a good streaming option against Spark’s defense and a decent addition to leagues of eight teams or more.
